Visit to St Ursula Monastery
The Knights and Dames of our Order visited the Jerosolimitan Sisters of the Monastery of St Ursula in Valletta, on Sunday 29th April 2017. The Nuns were founded by Grand Master Hughes de Loubenx Verdalle towards the end of the sixteenth century and formed an active part of the Order during its stay in Malta. Traditional Maltese food made purposely by the nuns was served to all our members during the courtesy visit to mark the Solemn Investiture. In the Monastery one can find the skull of the Blessed Gerald, the founder of our Order. A donation of five hundred Euros was presented to the Mother Superior towards the needs of the monastery.
